I believe I may have damaged the a wire coming out of the back of the fuse box. I was replacing the airbox. Rather than go to the trouble of removing the wheel and all, I was thinking that the fuse box could come out. It is held in by two plastic inserts. Most likely I will damage them by removing them. Am I correct in assuming that the fuse box will come forward and expose the wires on the back of it.
I have no running tail light but I do have a break light. The blue light on the gas tank is also not working.

yea you have to be carefull. I bought the service manual for that stuff and suggest that you do as well.
the air box will not come out that way. to remove the air box you have to remove the rear fender, jack the bike up a bit, detach the shocks then jack it way up allowing the swing arm to come down. you can then pull the air box out through the back.
you should be able to remove the plastic gromets thay hold the fuse box inplace and lean it forward.

Are you breaking a fuse? The break running light is on fuse 10. You need to check your bulb first. If it's good, check the continuity on your wires from the light. Get back with any answers or more details.
