My clutch slips when I pull out. But only when its cold - under 40 deg F and the bike isn't warmed up. Never does it once the bike's warm. Never happens in the warmer months at all. Been doing this for three years now. Anyone else experience this?

loosen the cable adjustment a little. You want just under an inch of free play at the end of the clutch lever.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Yeah cable adjustment seems to be within spec. Like I said, only happens when its really cold. Weird. Sounds like a beagle when you step on its paw...

I've got to ask the obvious. What OIL are you using.

Hmm, so what is the best oil to use anyway?

Hmmm, we just started talking about this in this thread but here is a much better place for an oil spill.

Yeah, Keith. This is a more appropriate place for an oil discussion. I use Motul 15W-50 full synthetic. Like I said, it has to be really cold with the bike sitting overnight. It'll slip the first time I pull out on the road but not again. Never does it when the bikes warmed up or when the outside temp is warm. Just kind of assumed it was a cold weather thing and haven't been to worried about it. Mostly curious...

It just depends on how badly constipated you are.

Not wanting to start an oil thread. Maybe I asked the wrong question. Are you using Motorcycle OIL.

OK. Just thought I would ask the question.
It's surprising how many people don't realize there is a difference.
