I have an 08 America, debaffled, A/I removed, Calif emissions "stuff" removed, air box opened, billet intakes, rejetted, carbs balanced, TP USA Option 2 Igniter.
I would like to take things one step farther and do a complete air box elimination kit with pod filters and go with Thruxton needles.
My two questions are, will the improvement in power/response be worth the money and what pod filters are best?
I realize that these are subjective but I would really appreciate hearing from those who have done this route and get your feedback. Thanks.
Stan

Uni UP4229's are less expensive than the K&N's & flow better, too.
I suggest that you try both TBS & Thrux needles & see what works better for your combo; the TBS needles are similar in profile to the Thrux, but are a bit longer & will generally run a little leaner than the Thrux, all other things equal.

Thanks for the response. I'll give both sets of needles a try. And thanks for the info on the Uni's.

I wouldn't be able to suggest anything till I understood what billet intakes you have. Can you provide a link to what intakes you have used and any other info as its all comparitive?

If your intakes are stock or configured the same , the Uni pods will rub on that big 'ole bolt and nut that goes through the frame and then you'll have a hole and suck up bugs and weeds . The Unis are cylindrical where the K & N's are somewhat conical and will clear the bolt .
