I used my AMA breakdown service last week. I came out at 4am (after work) to a dead battery.I managed to push start it but then it died for good on Las Vegas Blvd.....sweet. It only took about 45 mins for the tow truck to show up. The truck was a flat bed and had all the correct straps for a motorcycle. The driver even helped me push it up the driveway into the garage. The best part was that the $105 tow cost me nothing.
My point is that AMA membership includes the breakdown service. Plus they fight for motorcyclists rights. Its a no brainer as far as I am concerned. Join the AMA!

and if ever in the Columbus Oh. area, be sure and stop at the Museum. we did when we were on vaca a couple weeks ago and was very glad we did. well worth the $5 admission. YES, the AMA is really important as they fight for our rights daily. most people think that they just are racing and dont understand that they are our lobbiest. so i think its very important to support them. Its the only thing i pay dues and belong to. i dont normally care about orginazations of most any kind but i have been involved with the AMA since my race days and dont see a reason why i would not belong.
