So I havn't rode my bike since last Sunday as i needed to get my new tires mounted. Pull the bike out this morning, pull the choke out and start it up. First thing i notice is the bike is way more quiet than what it should be with the choke out, so I let it warm up for a few, push the choke in and take it around the block. Oh crap, the bike wants to die in first at the stop sign. I've got to give it a lot of throttle to get going and in first at WOT it's only turning about 3500 rpms. I changed the plugs but it is still doing it, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hard to tell from your description if it's fuel or spark. I would start with the simple stuff. What year is the bike? Carbs? If so then clean/replce the hidden filter, check float levels, check tip over valve, check for vacuum leaks. When you start it from cold see if both headers get hot evenly or if one stays cold or stays cold longer.

Thanks Dogg but upon further inspection I made a bone head error. When I strapped my bike down to the jack to take my wheels off to replace my tires I ran one strap over the neck in front of the tank. Turns out I knocked the primary wiring connectors out of the ignition coil on the left side. Plug back in, simple fix.

It could be anything from water in the gas, dirty fuel filter, vacuum leak, coil wire, igniter, coil, pickup coil, or a squirrel stuck in your exhaust pipe.

Need more info. Is it running on both cylinders or only one? Have you checked the wires to the plugs. Is there spark at the plugs? Have you run any Seafoam through the fuel tank to clean the carbs? Have you performed any modifications to the bike or is it stock?

Any info will help.
