 Front wheel axle hex sizes

hey guys I'm getting ready to take my front wheel off to have my tire changed, was wondering if anyone knew off hand what size hexes i would need for the front axle.thanks.

I use the heads of bolts that fit. I heated the bolts and bent them to make wrenches but you could just use vise grips on them.

you don't need a hex wrench at all....use the lower tube "pinch bolts" to hold the axle while you turn the nut on the other end.

The nut is a hex (Allen) as well.
