Breaking news! Triumph is making two new bikes and they both have an engine and suspension!
Umm... that teaser is about as lame as can be.

There seems to be a disconnect somewhere in Triumph. If you tease about new models like off road and sport touring or whatever many may put off buying until they come out. Not wanting to buy yesterdays model I think many will wait.

I dunno, they are doing ok so probably have a better sense of what is good advertising and what is not. I just don't get it.

I think a lot of the adventure bike guys are weary of the BMW costs and some aspects of its handling... same with some other brands. If Triumph presents a good handling, solid, and dependable bike as usual it should draw quite a bit of interest. I would have to look really hard at the 'street' focused verison. Smaller (am vertically challenged) and not such a tall beast as the Tiger 1050... yep, gonna have to look them over closely.

From some of my sources, it is my understanding that there will be three versions of the Tiger Cub; a true enduro (think KLR), a super motard (think KTM Supermoto) and a pseudo enduro (like a half size of the current Tiger).

For now they're talking (teasing) about two.
One on and one more off-road capable (both 800cc).

There is also talk of a 1200 somewhere in the future.

well, the idea of an 800cc triple in a touring-focus bike has my attention.

From what my dealer says they're using the 675 motor (the engine in the clips certainly sounds like it) in a true dual sport chassis that's meant to compete with BMW's models.
