I ordered a clock for my america today... I asked the parts guy how hard it is to put in... Well.... He didn't know.. I got home tonight and took off the chrome dash, looked under it and saw the wires that I assume hook to either the tach. or the clock... My question is how do I get the cover out of the hole???????????? Thanks. V.

Ya need to use a special Triumph tool called a "plate extractor." They are expensive so it's best just to go to your Triumph dealer and have them take it out. Book an appointment... it takes about 1/2 hour. NOT!!! I'm just being a smart a$$. John's right, it just pops out. Only held in by 3 little plastic clips.

If you have the dash off, I believe there are 3 little tabs that, just barely, hold that little bugger in place. If not a carefully placed AND small common under the edge should pop it right out.

Even if you get the wiring wrong, at least it will give you the right time twice a day.
