Found this cool looking badge on Southern California Triumphs web site. Don't know how to post it here so I uploaded it in the photo area.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I think one of the members has this engraved into the chain cover on his bike, and it sure looks cool. Just cannot remember which member it was now, i'm sure he will see this thread and post a pic

Hi Rick,

Can you give us the link to that badge? How much do they want for it?

Thanks.....

Sounds about right. I picked up three of them back in '02. Only put one on my bike. I'd give up my standard Bonneville sprocket cover for one like Tinman's (polished instead of painted, though). It's awesome.

John,

Tinman's isn't painted, it's very, very shiny. I saw it first hand at the Nor'east rally and it is just beautiful.

So all the black is reflection of something dark in the room?

So the reason it looks shiny black to me is the reflection of the dark room?

Just kidding...

Yeah the black is a reflection of something and as Ben says the etching is in colour. Tinman said the guys who etched it were able to do it so I couldn't tell you what it was. The pics don't do it justice though, it is incredible to look at.

I think Tinman could make a killing if he went into production. Of course, maybe he wants to have a unique piece. Can't say I blame if that's the case.

It's definitely color. Subtle, but it's there. Maybe someone else who was at Pat's got a better shot. Ron? Pat?

My money is on Moe having a picture - he gets a shot of everything to do with these bikes (and a lot with nothing to do with them!)

Now that is one of the sweetest mods I seen to date and original to boot. I've been thinking of what to get engraved on the back of my sissy bar since I dipped out on a decal for there, looks like my problems are solved
