Someone had a post awhile back about mounting brackets for older type hard bags. I think they were off a harley. I can't find the post anywhere now. Would appreciate any help.

I used easybrackets, but I cut a notch in the back of each back to kinda mold them in. Also altered the easybrackets to add more attachment points to the bags. They are very heavy and going away soon because the harley bags are cracking all over and falling apart. My new Tsukayu bags are sitting in the living room and will hopefully get installed this weekend (with their brackets).

There are some pictures (though none of the backsides) in my bike gallery...

Willie and Max makes a set of universal mounts that work with pretty much any rigid back bag. I think they are about 60$ or so, www.jpcycles.com has them. I've used them on my 07 since new with no issues.

Oh if you use those mounts, the bolts that come with them for attaching them to the fender strut are a bit long, they wont contact the tire, but, they are close, I'd trim them or get shorter bolts.

Whatever you do just make sure nothing smacks the brake caliper on the left.
