Being an always helmet guy I decided to splurge on a new helmet so I ordered a Nolan N-43 from Helmet Express. Two days later it arrived, fit perfectly and so far (a couple of hundred miles) it continues to impress.
Exceptional field of view, like no other full face I've worn it allows vision for my complete peripheral range including those side areas that my glasses don't cover on. Jury's still out on the deployable eyeshade, it works smoothly but I'm just not certain how much I like it (but it did come in handy yesterday afternoon).
In 95° heat it has very adequate ventilation, better than any of my earlier helmets. Nicely aerodynamic at all speeds with none of that dreaded helmet lift at higher speeds. The removable chin-bar takes a moment to get accustomed to and isn't as easy as my modular helmet but the face shield is way bigger so it's a nice trade-off. I like it.
And as a nice bonus: the lesser amount of low end noise is super. I've been able to go to a 10dB "louder" earplug with no appreciable increase in noise.
It does seem that the helmet is shorter front to back so the chin bar is much closer but so far no worries.

Great concept.....wonderful Italian quality. I have a new Nolan N43 helmet I'm advertising for sale locally. Will get it posted here soon. Just doesn't fit my head shape, so bought an HJC that does work for me . Size medium.

Are they a bit pricey Ed? I'm thinking of getting a ff modular helmet too. I'd have to make sure it doesn't fog up during colder weather. I guess that's something you've not tested on your new helmet.
Live to love, love to live.

I brought one of these, but it really didn't fit well as it seems the design isn't good for oval heads(which mine is). It is very well made and great options with the modular system, shame my head is the wrong shape, so had to sell it and brought a Shark RSI which fits great. I think helmets need internal padding options to fit different shape heads, or a gel layer that moulds to our heads.
EFI Speedmaster, Stainless Ride Slash Cut Silencers. Fly Screen. Oil Temp gauge. Crystal clear headlight. Drilled stem Oval Mirrors. Short Sissy Bar & Rack.

Halfway between functional and Shoei/Arai...and as far as cold weather testing I can only wish as we've had nothing but record high temps for the last 50 days. And I'm thinking I must have a more round than oval head because the fit is so nice.

Man, am I glad to see this post. I am about ready to pull the trigger on one of these. I am presently wearing a Nolan N-102 that is getting a little long in the tooth, not to mention that it has hit the ground a few times rather hard. Not with my head in it though. The 102 really fits good so I guess the N-43 will fit also. Being a little long in the tooth myself cold weather riding is not one of my strong suits. In fact I am a fair weather rider anymore. So, I'm not going to worry about the cold. Glad to see that the ventilation is rather good. The 102 is rather hot in the weather we have been having around here so far. Guess I'll have to unload the bank account a tad.

After a 1200 mile weekend run up to western NC and back I can happily report this helmet is the shizzle :-) Mile after mile of good visibility, it's an easy wearing, aerodynamic lid.
