'03 America with 20K miles I just started to picked up a "squeak" in the front end - from the forks, I believe.

Any ideas? Do I need to rebuild/replace the forks? Any chance a little WD-40 will "fix" it?

Anyone else have a similar thing happen?

Yes the fork shroud, theres a rubber/plastic bit under there that dries out sometimes. Quick squirt should sort it. Alternatively do as others have and remove shrouds and replace with gaitors

Thanks for the support

I just got back from a long ride from Long Island NY to Baltimore MD and if it wasn’t so hot (100 degrees)and so darn tired I go outside and do it right now. But I promise you some feed back later

Been a while since we had a fork squeak thread. As said, WD-40.

I lubed and lubed and lubed.. Still the squeak persisted.

Guess what? I found out today it was the speedo cable all along. Either it was rubbing against the cable loop or it needs to be lubed internally. But once I adjuster the cable loop the squeak stopped
