Folks:

Just wondering if I could have done any harm, other then feel awkward as ******. I purchased a new pair of boots that required my shift control linkage to be adjusted. After I performed this task, I decided to take a ride to see how if felt. The majority of shifts were fine, however, I guess I wasn't used to the new clearance, because about six times during the ride, my boot toe must have interfered with the gear shift lever's return to "center". This resulting in numerous times of "missed" up-shifts. So I would shift from say 3rd to 3rd and get a nice little surprise when the clutch was released. Other then the pure shock and awkwardness, could I have damaged anything in the tranny? I'm not sure if I was riding it like that for a while this evening. I've never really did this before.

Please advise and thanks in advance!

It's HIGHLY unlikely you damaged anything in the tranny.
If you're concerned, just ride normally and listen/feel for anything out of the ordinary. These bikes can be ridden pretty tough.

Thanks Dunnspeed, for the confirmation! I just had one of those days where everything ya touched just went wrong. Typically, I ride clears my head, but it didn't seem like I even could do that right . LOL. I'm sure tomorrow, I'll take her back out and it will be fine.

Thanks!
