Since 2 weeks, I encourtered problems with a company who not allow me to write on the tee-shirts I created the text "TRIUMPH-AMERICA.COM".

They talk about copyright violation, piracy, mass murderer, chimic weapon ... and so on.
triumph(C)(R)(TM) is a german trade mark of panties, or pad, or something else ...
Those assaules said I cannot write the word triumph(C)(R)(TM) . I answered I wrote the word "triumph-america.com"

So, I gave up !
I bought a new domain, that call www.yogourtnoway.com
I use Code:

It's the same site I owned, I'm always here , and I'm OK.

So, I recreated some tee-shirts
I have updated the search engine too, it now searchs in the new domain and bonnevilleamerica.com

That stinks, it is also a motorcycle and then used in combination like that of an existing entity on the internet seems it would be OK. You can use Triumph as a word on anything since it means to win. That being said I don't know the laws over there or if anyone would do anything about it if they had been printed.

Did you try Zazzle.com, NinjaZoo.com or CafePress.com?

When I last went to the Farmyard party (first year on the new site), I wanted the 'custom' embroidery bloke to embroider 'Triumph' across the back of my jacket.
He said no can do. Copyright don'tcha know.
I said just do the 'T' then.
He said it was the 'T' that was copyrighted (copy written ... ?)
I said, just do 'riumph' then and I'll do the 'T' myself!

He didn't seem to 'get' it ...

Depending upon the local jurisprudence of course, Triumph lingerie cannot prevent you from using Triumph-America.com . In Canada there was a court case where Mattel sued a restaurant called Barbie's for trade mark infringement. The courts ruled that since Mattel's business was toys and not restaurants there would be no confusion between the brands. There was also a more well known court case where Apple, a music production company owned by the Beatles tried to sue Apple (Mac) unsuccessfully again do to the fact that their businesses were different.

You would of course have to stop using the web address if Triumph Motorcycles told you to.

As you can imagine, it's a joke with Go Your Own Way.
But maybe "Go Your Own Way" it's already registered by triumph motorcycles.

"Yogourt No Way" mean absolutly nothing ! that is fun !
it's not so important. I think frenchies will find the site easily because this is the only one about triumph america and speedmaster in french

The whole copyright vs. piracy-thing is driving me crazy these days. I like to pay for stuff, but I don't like the way that companies is trying to control every aspect of everything just to make enough money. I play in a band and are just as frustrating for us as "artists".

Even if you buy stuff or supports the artist or local talent, that's not enough these days it seems.

You have a great site! Good luck on your battles with the copyright police. It boggles my mind that something that is a tribute to a brand is considered infringement, but when it comes to anyone making a buck (or euro), its all about control. Never mind that a shirt you sell might influence someone to drop $9k on their brand bike. I am sure that according to the lawyers, that $2 profit you may be making is "damaging" them. yogurtnoway.com is a great answer to that problem! Congrats and good luck to you!

I don't like yoghurt, so I can imagine surfing the net and finding this, www.yogourtnoway.com and thinking it might be full of witty scathing comments about mouldy milk, and instead finding a site all about the motorcycle that was the reason man climbed down from the trees so he could invent it
