They have several different listings. After researching, looks like I got the heavy duty ones.

Go to "Seller's Store", there are a number of different ones. Actually, I didn't get the heavy duty, which is fine with me. Find the model number and go to Progressive's web site. Also have front springs for $10, alas, not for our bikes. I was initially worried that these may be priced per piece, or each. Everything on there is plural, and it says "sold in pairs". The outfit has a huge feedback number, I'll be eagerly watching for the UPS man.

So, is the stock length of our shocks 11.5", 12" or 12.5"?

The Mrs. said it was too good of a deal to pass up, and that she thought they would look good on my bike, so I ordered the Progressive 812 Shocks 12.5" Flame Black Springs 4252. He has the Progressive part numbers posted in his auction listings (Manufacturer Part Number). He has both the regular springs and heavy duty springs available, so check the Progressive part number before you order. The ones I got are the heavy duty springs (even though I may not really need them). You can check the part numbers at Progressive's Website.

I ordered up the same ones as Soren. Can't believe they're charging the same price for HDs. What a bargain.

They were on sale last week 25% off. Even at $219, still a good deal.

So I missed the boat at $164, but thought $219 was still a steal (and I needed to upgrade to HD units anyway) so bought a set.
I needed to phone the seller and found out they are an even better buy. These units are built (to order) and supplied directly from Progressive factory and they confirmed the Progressive SKU.
I haven't even seen the HD units on sale at retailers so now worried about the old saying - 'anything that is too good to be true, probably is'

Not yet, but I just ordered mine last Friday. If they are being built to order from Progressive, it may take a bit more time than usual than when buying something else on ebay. They have a 99.6% positive feedback rating, so I am not worried. I'm excited to get them, but I am not worried about getting them.

I haven't heard anything, not showing shipped either. They immediately left positive feedback when I paid, though. They have a rating of 99,462, so like Soren,I'm not worried either. Am anxious to get them, though.

When I spoke to them they said it would take 5-7 days for the build then another couple for shipping.
If you want to check with them the main number is on the listing; what they don't add is, you need extension 230 then ask for Marie

Got an email from them the other day, mine are shipped and should be here Thursday 15th. I'll be waiting for the UPS man like the neighborhood dogs.
UPDATE: Delivered today (7/14). In the middle of a remodel job, probably won't get them on til next week.

I ordered mine on 7/6 at $219. Hadn't heard anything, so I called and talked with Marie. They should ship on Friday or Monday, so hopefully I'll have them before my trip on 7/27. I have 30k on the original shocks, so I'm looking forward to it. I had looked into changing the preload settings on my shocks before, but realized that the right shock was installed backwards, and there was no way to adjust it. So tonight, I took it off and reversed it and could then change the preload setting. Yes, I adjusted the other side too. We will see how it rides tomorrow.

I ordered a set of the 812s when I first saw this posted. Just received them last night. Haven't put them on yet, but they look like a top quality shock. Of course, I can't see how Progressive is making money at this price, I suupose they just wanted to move some slow moving inventory. Even at $219, these are a steal. Now I'm definitely going to have to get a set of Progressive springs for the front fork.

I don't know the reason either. Mine have a manufacture date of 6/29/10 on the box.

I got an email saying that my shocks are going to be shipped from Progressive on Monday. The people selling them are dealers for Progressive. I am guessing the profit margin on Progressive shocks are pretty good, especially if they are placing lots of orders, so the seller can sell them inexpensively like they are. It is also my understanding that Progressive builds their shocks to order, so the sale price really has nothing to do with inventory.

OK, Installed the new shocks last night and went for a ride. I didn't notice a thing. Didn't notice any bumps, didn't notice broken pavement, didn't notice the leftover frost heaves from last winter, didn't notice the bounce you get from the stock shocks. Wow, these are pretty darn nice shocks. Guess it's time to order the springs for the front.

Mine JUST got shipped today. I'm a little irked with the long lag time, but for the price, I can probably live with it.

Yup, I got that same e-mail just today. I've put on a lot of miles since I placed that order and hope those shocks aren't on the slow boat.

Ordered mine 6/24, manufacture date on box 6/29, at my door 7/14. Not too bad considering the price and free shipping. I was getting a little impatient, but I'm used to having ebay stuff in about a week. I'll have them on this weekend.

Yeah, I'm not TOO annoyed. It's not like I can't ride without them, and the deal was so good I can't really complain too much. Still, I do think the shipping lag was a tad excessive.

That is the drawback on ordering stuff that is built to order from a major manufacturer through a dealer. Especially this time of year, maybe if we all would have ordered them during Winter, it may have been quicker.
