Has anyone heard of this stuff their video is some impressive and would surely cost less then trashing an almost new tire due to a puncture. Have a look see and let me know what you think. There is a location in Toronto I plan to check out. http://www.rhinotire.com/

I am leery of the term "scientist" and wonder why they didn't use engineers.
"A group of scientists thought there was a demand for a good process that would make tires punctureproof, and they felt that there was no current product that was efficient.
Over the course of seventeen years, and the efforts and contributions of almost a hundred scientists, the RhinoTite process was invented and developed.
They developed the RhinoPlex polymer formula, and designed the machines that are used now to apply the process".
I have never had a flat tire for as long as I've been riding so to replace one tire is an inexpensive investment for my safety.

Watched what I thought was 'a pretty convincing' video. Hey if it works with no adverse effects, and is also affordable... well, why not. A puncture at any speed on a bike is not a pretty picture.
Live to love, love to live.

My questions are when you need a new tyre how easy is it to clean the stuff of the wheel rim or do you just leave there and fit a new tyre and do you have to reblance the wheel. I have seen it with a guy sticking large nails in wheels trying to get sales a few years ago does look good . atb geoff

Looks like what they do is just spray Rhino truck bed liner into the tires. I would imagine it has to affect handling somewhat.

Still only good on tubless tires.
As to using a flat prevention additive in a tube, I've read it is only 50% effective. If the nail schreds the tube like it did to my bike....you're screwed.

I've never had a flat tire for as long as I have been driving a car (except my friends 64 Dodge Pickup just outside of Calgary where we had two flats back in 75) but that doesn't mean it can't happen and if it does on a relatively good tire who is going to repair it? Don't think that my 07 Speedmaster has tubes, may be wrong but "Newbie" and as far as sticking to rim it appears to be applied to the tire and then with centrifical force spreads evenly. So I guess no one actually knows about this product but thanks for the comments they are appreciated, I'll check out the OKO and when in Toronto the Rhino Tire product.

Spoke to distributor in Toronto on Sat. but they were not open for business so could not go over for a demo. He said about $70 for a motorcycle tire. Next time in T.O. I'll try and pop in (not the next few weeks with G8 and G20 happening) That stuff may be a necessity if riding anywhere near the epi-centre.
