So I just got these Boots Well, I just got em so I don't know about the long haul but they are pretty awesome. Little tight but will break in, other then that they are comfortable.

As long as they're boots that are made for riding and not walking. 'Cause you know, Nancy Sinatra made it very clear that if;
"These boot are made for walking And that's just what they'll do One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you."
So riding boots it is, eh?

Those are nice boots, good quality company. I'm no fan of square toe myself. They look very similar to the RedWing boots I have, except for the toe.
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Another long-term Red Wing wearer here, but I recently noticed the "Made in China" label inside my latest pair. What's up with that? Minnesota outsourcing? Disappointing.

WOW! A buddy of mine just bought a pair of $275.00 Redwing Boots. I wander where they are made?

I normally wear a pair of nylon/leather Police/tactical boots which I wore when I was safeguarding piles of money in the armored car business. I gave that up but I still wear the boots. However on local rides around town I tend to favor a pair of 6 inch Red Wing leather boots. They are lighter and easier to walk around with and provide decent traction at stops etc. The ankle support is not as good as the taller boots but I am not riding enduros.

Well, I just laid my bike down the other day and these boots survived with only a little scratch in the leather. I'm a fan for sure now!

Laying your bike down is kind of an extreme way to test those new boots. Couldn't you have figured out another method? Glad you and your boots are OK!

Dare I ask... dare I lead astray for just a bit... how did that happen?

Long story, but in short a cop on a bike pulled out in front of me during bike week. I just was heading home. She was trying to stop someone else, rode out into the road. I tried stopping, knew I wasn't gonna stop in time so I laid it down.

Never seen a female motor officer before (not that there's anything wrong with that ). Hope she stopped to check on you.
