Had some out of town friends at the house several months back. Went to leave to get some groceries (read beer). When I got back they were shocked that I took the motorsickle. And they ride. Ride to work day? Okay!

Here is what their web site says about why:
Quote:

Ride your motorcycle or scooter on this day to demonstrate:
•The number of motorcyclists to the general public and to politicians.
•That motorcyclists are from all occupations and all walks of life.
•That motorcyclists can reduce traffic and parking congestion in large cities.
•That motorcycles are for transportation as well as recreation.
•That motorcycling is a social good.

So this was today?

I must say I'm very disappointed with the UK response

As I said earlier its not an option for me, but today was a glorious day weather wise and this morning, while I was parked up on that car park known as Monday Morning M42 guess how many motorcycles filtered passed?

ONE!!

Usually a few filter past when its chucking down with rain, but when the sun is out? "Its too hot to wear leathers"

It was the same the other month when it was the hottest day of the year, hardly saw a bike between here and Rugby, on a Sunday

I did see a lot yesterday on the way to Rugby, they were all coming away from Silverstone, so I guess that was the crotch rockets annual day out and now they are put away again in case they get dirty

OK, rant over.

I wonder if my rant has anything to do with me not having the option to bike to work, and the fact that I've been sweating like a pig everytime I got in the van

I was off today and worked around the house all day. Didn't even get on my bike today and it was a beautiful day to ride. The next couple days will be raining. I am not yet impressed with this years riding weather.
