Barring a spewing volcano, Wendy, her two kids and I are headed for Florida for the last full week in August If you know us, you'll say hello. If you don't know us, we'll no doubt look like more of the millions of tourists Say hello anyway, we might talk funny but we don't bite.

Well, if you're in central Florida and get an urge to go for a ride, let me know. I can probably talk the wife into letting you take the BA and I'll take the Geezer HD. Just sayin' Southern hospitality and all.... later, Tom.
But, what do I know?

Appreciate it but I have this 'thing' about riding someone else's bike! I've had rentals but they don't really belong to anyone, do they? I have no probs there but to ride someone else's bike I know lots of guys who think the same.
Lookin' forward to the Southern hospitality though I just hope your beer measures are bigger'n everyone elses

If you can't hit the beaches before the oil hits, bring some clean sand. There is a dealer here in Tallahassee that rents out a Moto Guzzi, the sports tourer model. Some nice "canopy roads" around here. Gently twisty curvy roads where the trees meet over the road.

I guess they are deisgned for little Italians, not fat English. I tried the sports touring thingy. When I got off I had to see what cc it was - I expected about 600-800. Was shocked to see 1200cc!! That thing counldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding! I wanted a California but it felt smaller than my America - which now feels like a 125cc after having the R3 for the last 2 years!

Well there you go - I thought that but it was a toss-up between looking stoopid and asking what it meant or looking stoopid and guessing what I thought it meant and getting it wrong. On my second set of Metzelers. First set lasted about 4,500 miles Well you gotta play with something like this, haven't you? Go on, ask what oil I use ... dare ya

I am so sorry. I am leaving Key Largo now. I have all the sunshine from Key West to Largo in my bag. Had I known, I would have left some.
Diving in KW and snorkle in Pennekamp Park. These people in Florida have a pretty special place.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Eeh, I have a feelin' I know what this trip to Florida is REALLY all about! It's really to go take a look at a '59 Caddy sittin' up on blocks just outside of Ft. Lauderdale that you spotted on ebaymotors recently, isn't it FT??? Yeah, I KNOW how you have a thing for those big ol' Yank Tanks, ol' buddy! (BTW...hope you guys have a great time!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Met them both a few years ago at the NorEast and plan on meeting up again but haven't been in touch with Ryan yet. It's a whistle-stop tour so it might only be for a coffee or two.

Hey mate, when you have finished with the Mets, try Avon Cobra's, slightly cheaper then the mets, but one heck of a difference with handling, don't know about milage yet though.

Will give 'em a try. Got the Metzelers 'cause when I had the 12 month service done at the dealer I bought the bike off (after they had given up their franchise), they had a set hangin' around so he let me have them at cost!

Say hello anyway, we might talk funny but we don't bite...
... unlike the friggin' mozzies at Moe's house!!!! We went to see Lynn and Moe. I hadn't seen them in four years (thanks again guys for making us welcome ). In the few minutes it took to say our goodbyes I managed to get about 4 - 5 humdinger bites on my legs / feet. The two on the back of my legs? Holly crap they look nasty
We had a great time ... apart from that d@mned rain and heat. Heat? What the he|| is THAT all about?!?! Even the rental car guy at Sanford airport said he never gets used to it. Last day at Magic Kingdom (Wendy's daughter's 7th birthday) was great ... up until 30 minutes before the illuminated procession and fireworks then the heavens opened and pretty much washed everyone away! (You think I'm kidding? I'm not).
We had a great time and the kids had never been to the US so that was cool for them.
We want to come back but it will be earlier in the year next time
Thanks again Moe & Lynn, you da best
