As long as they are designed for 1" bars, I don't see why not. someone around here will probably have more information I suspect.

I don't think Harley grips are a straight swap, they are shorter and put the throttle in a bind.

I looks like the throttle side has the cable attachment...I don't think "our" throttle cables will attach to the grip.

yeah I bought a pair of aluminum grips before and had a problem around the throttle cable pull and where it rides within the switch housing. I cant remember the exact fitment issue though cause it was a little while ago. I just remember dremeling the inside channel where the grip rides in the switch housing and just couldnt get a smooth pull back and just gave up on it.

The America and presumably the Speedmaster use the same grips as the VT 600 ,VT 750 and VT1100 honda's of the late 90's up to 08. The harley grips wont work correctly as they are, I for one am not a fan of modifying anything which may cause a hung throttle.

They definitely cause a hung throttle, last year on the way to the MidWest Rally my Kuryakyn grip broke and the throttle cable fell out. Some old timer stopped and gave me a set of HD grips. I made them work for the last 100 or so miles, but they were so tight that my throttle hand had blisters on it and I almost dumped the bike going around corners at low speed. Imagine trying to rotate the left grip as your throttle, but on the right side. My advice? Look elsewhere for grips.

I still have a new set of those in a box. I don't like how they patched a piece of leather to the grip, making it thick enough to question it's worth! I haven't used them and if I do... it will be after Chris (DunnSpeed) fixes them up for me. We had a thread going about this but I can't find it... (2 Scotches over the line)!

I was thinking of your grips the other day when I came across that link. Some of those grips look cheap and poorly made. Some look kinda cool though. I'd fix them for you anyday, Keith. All you gotta do is send em here...but now that your selling it...

i have harley grips on my america and i love them...they will work with modification..if you are not mechanicaly inclind then i would suggest not buying them..plus it needs to be a push/pull dual cable style...the housing on the throtle side needs to be filed to were the radius is larger...i have no hang up but i know what im doing...if you have a handing guy in your area with bikes, pay him to do the mod...the grip choices are greater and better if you use the harley style...willing to help you tru it if interested...mine are fat bobber type...

Selling... if logic prevails, yes. Stay tuned for the outcome of this. As for the grips... you're the man Chris when it comes to making those grips work! Appreciate your thoughts and sentiments oh, fellow musician!!
