I have been waiting for 2 wks to get my new bella corse super bars for my BA.They look awesome and I was able to move the other lines and controls[clutch and brake] to a non binding position but my throttle lines bind in such a way as to hold the throttle open when the grip is left slack. It works correctly when the throttle lines are relaxed in a smoother arc but that brings them to a position that wouldnt be feesible to ride with [too high and floppy].Has anyone of you switched to shorter bars and been able to keep the stock controls?I was in the market for braided stainless control lines soon so I can get shorter ones,I think the speedmaster set from new bon may be correct because the speedy has shorter bars?Anyone know for sure? Thanks all.

I put Superbars on my America about 4 years ago, no problems like you describe. I later changed the clutch cable for a shorter Speedy one because the longer stock one had an extra curve in it. I got the Speedy throttle cables, but they've been sitting on a shelf for a couple of years now. I'll change them one of these days. Can you still see with the stock mirrors? I put bar end mirrors on mine.

Mine are so finicky,I suppose. If I leave them in a big arc, they will work but just the slightest movement one way or the other will lock up the throttle return. How did you route your lines?

Why not just get shorter cables and solve the problem?
I do know the SM has shorter cables since I went the other way and had to use BA cables on my SM so I could use BA bars and longer risers. I would say that SM cables might work but it depends how much shorter the bars are and how long or short are the risers you have on your bike. The SM has drag bars but it also has 4" risers.

Yeah, adjusting them worked for the most part.Life is difficult when you arent mechanically inclined.I fiddled with rerouting and selective wire tie usage and a small adjustment at the throttle body.I still have a bit of sticking in the return when the bars are turned to the hard right or left but get good snap back at normal movement.I test rode it just a few minutes ago and the super bars give me just the position I want.I also installed an adjustable span brake lever at the same time and thats good too. Thanks to all who helped,I appreciate it.

The Superbars are bent so that they clear the tank with the stock America risers. Speedy lines and cables would be just right.
