When I start my bike I have her in neutral, actually have it in neutral when sitting in my garage as it makes it easier to push in and out. Most of the time, but not all of the time, when I shift into first it stalls out. I restart, put it back to neutral and back into first with no problem. Has anyone ever heard of this? Is it because I leave it parked in neutral, start it in neutral? Help please.

Kickstand switch issue more than likely.... fiddle with the plunger a bit and see what happens.

Does it drop into 1st with a clunk on the first try (when it stalls)? If so, it's just not warmed up enough.

well it always clunks, but does seem to have a little extra. I let her warm up a little longer and no issue today. Patience is not my strong suit, I just want to get on and ride. Maybe that's all it was.

I had the same issue with mine when I first brought her home solved by raising the idle a little bit.

Might want to check the carb breather. I had a stalling issue which became a no-starting issue. Turned out the carb breather was clogged.
