just fitted my short TORS, and the sound is great, i blipped the throttle 4 times and the engine cut out. It then wouldn't start for 5 mins. Then I did the same again and it stopped after 4 blips of the throttle. I assume this is the engine management system registering the something from the exhaust sensor.
I was told by someone who has a Rocket 3, that if you leave the bike running for 12 mins on idle, then turn it off and back on again the cdi resets to new settings...is this true? or do I still need the mapping done? I did run it for 12 mins and then restarted and blipped the throttle quite a few times with no cut-out, but there is a small pop on releasing the throttle.
anyone else heard of this 12 mins on idle malarky?

You could probably use a remap assuming you've got an EFI bike.

My dealership mechanic told me the same thing about the reset function. You start cold, no throttle, and let it idle for 7-14 minutes, no blips, and it will 'reset' to it's current conditions. Worked for me with my TuneBoy mods. Also, your efi engine with TORs will run better with the proper 'aftermarket silencer' tune. Plus you will want to balance your throttle bodies, as the factory is none too picky when they do it.
