Was setting at a stoplight today with a new HD sporster rattling away to the rear and left of me.I caught him leaning way forward to try and eyeball what beautiful bike I was astride so I tilted her to the right and pointed at the tank badge as I grinned at him.He gave me a friendly wave off with his HD numbed hand and a noticeable grin as I left him set there and shake

I also had a red light chat with a HD guy sunday. Said "nice bike! My first bike is a 73 triumph, I still have it!". He went on to say that it is currently in storage at the local HD shop. Also said "glad to see they're making those again!"

Sounds as though he was on an 883. My brother has one, and it's not that much fun to ride.

I test rode the Harley XR1200, and other than the seat being hard as a brick, the bike was brilliant, plenty of power and loads of torque. I also have a Harley Fatbob, awesome cruiser, handles great, and the 96" motor is perfect. I also own a Kawasaki Versys and it handles like a sportbike but has a nice sit up and beg dirt bike riding position, the 650cc twin puts out 72 HP with the Two Brothers slip on, wheelies are fun. I am lucky because I feel I own the best 3 bikes for me, and of course I love the Speedy. Don't discount Harleys, some of them rock
Triumph Scrambler Diablo Red & Silver (2014), Arrow Exhaust, FI remapped with TTP #4, 16 tooth sprocket, Triumph Gel Solo seat & Rack, Progressive 440 1" lowered Shocks, SAI & O2 Removal, Airbox Restrictor Plate removed.

Yup, I'd have to agree. After my recent rendezvous with HD demo day I have a healthy respect for the bikes. It's the snobbery ya get so often 'cause ya don't ride a Harley that gets me. But the bikes... I'd love a Geezer Glide!!!
Live to love, love to live.

I'll back that. While on vacations, I usually rent an HD for the day.. all have been pretty great bikes, and amazing rides (in order): 1. Fatboy : Kula Highway - Maui 2. Sporty 1200: Ketchikan, AK 3. Dyna LRdr : Cave Creek, AZ 4. Heritage : Palm Beach, FL

I rented a Heritage Softtail a few years ago in CA and took it on the coastal highway. We wore those floorboards out! Grinding in almost every corner. But, it rode nice and the 6 speed was great on the highway.
