I'm running the light bar on my america, has anyone relocated the handlebar indictors from the handlebars to the lightbar underneath the spots? If so is it tricky to get to the wiring? What else is involved? Thanks in advance.

I'll probably have to do this myself shortly. I'm waiting for my Clearview Roadster Screen, which is wider than stock. If it can't clear the indicators with the Triumph indicator extensions, then they will have to be relocated.

I just installed the Triumph light bar on the weekend, and getting the wires in there was a little tight.

It has been recommended to use single wires instead of 2 joined together in a sleeve. The light bar will more than likely have to come off the bike to get the wires out the centre access hole.

Getting a stiff wire through the hole first to use as a string line would help... just don't ruin the wires that are already in there! Maybe cover the end in some tape or something so that end isn't sharp. Shutterbug has suggested to use 6' long wires (2 of them, with a 2" stripped piece in the middle. When you see the 'naked' wires pass through the centre hole, fish up the wires though the hole, and then apply shrinkwrap over their exposed lengths.

For the lights, cut the wires half way, and splice in. This way you will retain the connectors that are behind the grips. Oh yeah, best to disconnect the battery first.

I think that's about it. Oh yeah, patience might (will) be required. Good luck!

EDIT: You may also need brackets to push the indicators forward as well.

Cheers Hyates

I know exactly what you mean about tight, I was going to use single wires as it was hard enough getting the spot lamp wires in. My main proble is trying to keep the wiring from the old location tidy. As for brackets I have a friend who works with stainless steel sheet metal so it shouldn't be to much trouble, I'll let you know how I get on, keep me updated on your progress too.
