Hi Folks. I had noticed prior to my first service that the dashboard was resting on the tank. It was actually rubbing on the tank on both sides. Triumph wouldn't warranty this, so I got out the old Dremel tool, and ground down the sides so that it comfortably cleared the tank, and sealed the raw edges with clearcoat paint. The tank has since been polished and waxed.
It seems that the EFI tanks are flatter on top than the tank used on carb models, and the dashboard hasn't been changed to accomodate the flatter tank. So, it might be worth checking this out if you have an EFI model. We don't have this problem on our 2007 Speedmaster.
