I'm getting a bit worried about life on planet stretchermonkey. My latest blooper was quite a wierd one even by my standards and involved a mobile phone and a very early morning call to one of the members off this site who I won't mention but if you are interested .....it was Paul. I was working on nights on sunday evening / monday morning and we had a quiet shift so we were sat in the crewroom at work watching a dvd waiting to rush out like coiled springs to the next 999 call. What I didn't realise was that I was sat on my mobile phone and it rung Paul up at 5.45 am, who just so happened to be asleep at the time and of course he couldn't ring back because the phone was on. I only just realised today when I was going through my mobile numbers. I'm now wondering what we were talking about in the crewroom at the time. Please someone out there - tell it's happened to you as well.

That's why they invented key locks!!
And yes it has happened to me!!
When I was in the Florida Keys in 04 at the start of the second leg of my US tour, I ended up camping next to a (married unfortunately as she was very nice!!) German couple, we got talking and I suggested that we continue in the bar. Unknown to me, while putting my tent up, I hit the dial key & rang someone at home in England. As it was early evening in the US, it was early morning in England!!
Apparently I managed to turn it off after about 20 minutes - Wiped out all of my credit on the PAYG plan though!!

At least the boss laughed, as she was asleep as well until the phone rang!!!!! Did think of phoning Sandy to make sure Stretchermonkey was ok! But wasn't that brave!!

Its how I make most of my calls to the office Which always leaves me wondering if they've heard me slagging off the boss Still, their phone equipment wont let them get caller ID and my voice is muffled

Happened to me a few times with my old phone. Funny thing is, it always called my wife. And she CLAIMS she didn't know anything about it! Usually, she would just hear me and my employee talk about work while riding in the truck.

I called an electrical contractor once (I'm in homebuilding), and instead of muting the ringer, he inadvertantly hit the green key. I sat there and listend as he conspired with one of his "competitors" as they compared prices for an upcoming bid.

Seeing Funkletrumpet's post, has reminded me, that I once spent 5 minutes listening to him washing up!!!!!!!!!! So now my question is...... why would 2 members of this site speed dial me, as most speed dials work on the alphabet, so instead of speed dialing A first, both their phones skipped to P or H. Time for me to get paranoid I feel!!!
