Hi all, Before I buy some after market exhausts, I decided today to save 500 bucks, debaffling my bike. I used a 35mm hole saw, cut the final tube, and that's all ! That cost me 11.35 euros (about $13 USD) and that take 5 minutes to do the work. Now I'm very happy . The sound is a little bit louder, but not too much, and the note is deeper. Like a true motorcycle. The story is here : Debaffling tapered stock exhausts in 5 minutesIt's about an America 2009 EFI model, I'm not sure that works for each model. I'll add a video soon .
I do not read/write english very well. Thank's to be patient.

Nicely done Frenchy... great write up and video. While visiting that great site of yours, this picture really caught my attention. I don't mean to hijack this thread but could you tell us a bit about that trailer, even in another thread if you'd rather?

Sure, a user of my forum made billet for that (in french): Giwi trailer
It's about a special trailer for motorcycle made by a french company http://www.wipigroup.fr/
The trailer contains 200 liters, its weight is 45 kg empty and we can fill-in it for 35 kg more. It's suitable for any bike model/mark

I think the sound i not so deep enough (I mean bass), and about the loudness, for me its ok because I do not want to fight with my neighbors. Anyway it's louder than stock.
And because I already spent a lot of money with Tsukayu hards bags and heated grips, I thought It was time to slow down with money...
I should have done it sooner

Yes , back to the pipes, I uploaded a new video I made this afternoon with Gopro HD cam. It's a short vid but the sound is really "reallistic". I mean, the sound you hear in the video is very very close to the real sound. Triumph America sound test - Debaffled stock pipes (Tapered)And I think it's not so bad.
