Mines an EFI, would I need a re-map?
Would they fit each other?
Will it pass an MOT?
Are you in a rush, or could you wait a couple of weeks?

I cant't help with the pipes... I've done the bafflectomy already - but only the first one... that's loud enough for me.

However Brindle's questions...
With 2 baffles gone you probably would need a remap. Yes they fit. The MOT would depend on where you take it... My 03 has passed MOT's with one baffle removed, not even commented on....

Think it has a 'pre-cat' at the engine end of each silencer?

True, I believe the later carb models have them too. Mine did, but I'm now running short tors with nothing in... On a scale of 1-10, I need earplugs to ride it...?

Well I've pondered, and I think a 6 or 7 will be too loud for me, or more to the point, the people who live near my garage. Considering the fact my garage is far enough away to be burnt down without me realizing ....

Hopefully I'll get to hear different pipes at Dent, to give me an idea

RE- Re-mapping - Have just got some very short turnout aftermarket pipes. They really do go to the good old 11 on loud scale. I drive a 57 plate efi model. Have found from talking to other America and Triumph riders that a couple of stop start trips around the block and a couple of trips down an A road and the engine re-maps itself. Find a good MOT place (SRT in Birkenhead) and if the pipes don't have 'not for road use' stamped on them, they will pass it. Hope it helps?

BUT!!! will also swap my unaltered pipes for the ones with a couple of baffles removed if you wish. Am on Wirral and am sure we can meet half way with a tool kit and swap at a service station!

Hmm... I think all the Rock bands I play in have affected my hearing... I recently knocked out all the baffles in my stock cans and just left the cones in.. sounds sweet now.. just like it should (but no where near as loud as my RSVR with stright throughs).
