I believe it's a Torx t-27. Just about any should hardware store should have one.

It has to be the security torx type. It has a hole in the bit to go over the pin of the torx head bolt/screw.

Torx T-25 works just fine, even if it is a 27 technically... Got mine at an Ace hardware. Blue handle. Just make sure there's that little hole in the middle, that's all. I think it cost me all of 3 bucks or something. Makes waxing the bike WAY easier!!

This is good info - thanks. I have to wonder though, how effective this "security" system is if anyone can buy the "key" at a hardware store.

"Security by obscurity." Anybody can buy the tool, but most probably don't. I suppose if you make your emblem custom, encrusted with diamonds, then it'll be worth bothering with the tool. For the casual thief it's probably too much of a hassle for the return.

Yup. That's about it. When you think about it, anyone with a good set of tools and a half hour to themself could get just about any part off our bike they wanted if they really wanted to.
