Whew... that's some pricey noggin gear! But then again, how can you put a price on someone's head?

They work well in facefirstslides at 50mph too! Got my 2nd one a few weeks ago. The helmet is the reason I still have a face...

Ahhh, who among us has not had a price placed on his/her head at some time? After all, we ride motorcycles and share the same sense of adventure as Robin Hood, William Wallace, Rob Roy, Zorro and so many others! Have you never swung down from a tree on your TBA and deftly cut the purse-strings of passing wealthy nobles and whisked-away their pieces of silver to redistribute to those in need? If not, then you have not tasted of life, my friends!
Sorry, was a little carried-away there for a moment...
Officially: - obey all traffic laws in the locality in which you are riding - show proper respect for the property of others and for governmental and social institutions - do not hoist motorcycles into trees.

+1 on the "Face-Sliders". My helmet was down to the lining on the right side-chin-eye-forehead area after a front tyre blow out while hot-dogging in my youth.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

All good to hear. Since my current full face Shoei is becoming politically incorrect with some of the stickers on it, I was looking at getting a modular for when I ride to work...LOL.

Noisy, expensive and no room enough for my chin (with my lovely beard especially). Like to use my open face cheap Osbe Rufus helmet instead (without that rubber face mask). Pic:

That's a good looking, highly protective helmet... reminiscent of fighter pilot gear. I had a brief look around the net and didn't find it (yet) available in N. America. But I like it...

I'd have to admit I too love my multitek. Originally after coming back into riding after a 15 yr break I would never have thought three years later I'd buy a closed face lid. In fact I just wanted the feel of wide openess and freedom so loving the look of a 3/4 face, bought one. Now I'm not certain at which point I started questioning exactly how safe the lid I had chosen was but I suspect seeing another dead bike rider who was minding his own business may have had something to do with it.
Anyway, I bit the bullet and spun around 360 degrees in the cost dept but I can safely say it hasn't been off my Head even once since purchase.
As far as I'm concerned it's got the lot and was worth every cent.
Mind you, I can't compare with any other full face but I'm pretty sure I got what I paid for and more

Stacka, I gotta tell you I'm concerned and I'm sure your family is too (but maybe just too polite to say anything). How many t-shirts have you ruined pulling them on over that thing? And ummm, is it really comfortable enough to take the place of a pillow while sleeping? And I mean you have to know you look ridiculous taking a shower (or performing any number of routine household activities) in that helmet. Try taking it off just once, say... while at the dinner table, or while mowing the lawn. Sure it might feel strange at first but you'll get used to it.
I'm only looking out for your welfare my friend, and don't mean to be telling you what to do.

Well aren't I a goose. I wrote this last night on my Iphone and didn't read it back to notice my error. Let's just say then, I have taken it off once to make sure all was ok underneath. So rest easy Keith
