Hey! I can actually be there again!
I have recovered completely from my surgeries and will be there for sure.
I will make up some of the world famous Speedmaster Red Azz Amber Ale for the event too.
I also will be planning an oh so special"Bar Hoppin'" ride for other fellow lushes interested. I have a great route with great roads and great pubs and we will have a good half days ride with several stops for all interested in this sort of obscene adventure.
Be posting more later.
Be here or be queer.

I should be able to make it this year, no reserves that weekend. My boy is also thinking about making the ride up this year as well as long as he still has a license.

Ohhhh this looks interesting.

Much like the NH rally there is a slim chance I might be able to make this one if the move to Massachusetts goes ok.

I won't say yes - just a very possible maybe.

But I'll confirm as soon as I know what I'm doing (which despite what some people may say does happen from time to time).

Pat, too much time has passed since I rolled in upstate NY. Hey Lynn, remember how I said I wanted to head West this year? Well...

Time to update the maps, eh?

Folks still getting inebriated here?

Been playing with fire lately?

Be good to see some old friends.

Have to see if this lift is still on Lake Seneca.

Some thoughts on camping at the NorEast Rally

The camp ground is around a 1/4 or 1/2 mile down a tree lined winding road to a wooded clearing. The site could probably handle well over 100 campers but we have it all to ourselves. It would be difficult at best to create enough noise that would bother other campers on the far side of the river, unless large scale fireworks were utilized. It's very private there, aside from the occasional hiker passing through in the daylight hours. A small waterfall and stream border the campground, along with miles of hiking trails. I don't know how cold the water is there (yet) but I've seen folks swim in it. Biker Ed & family spend a great deal of time setting up extensive all weather facilities for cooking and etc. They supply grill space, cooler space, and so on and so forth. The campground also has National Park Service style grills that have been known to produce some sumptuous wee hours BBQ chicken. 100 feet or so from the center of the camp site is a one story building with indoor toilets and sinks. The building has electrical outlets in case one wants to charge a cell phone or what have you. A two minute walk across a stone bridge leads one to hot showers and the trash facility. There are a number of mature trees within the campsite, so to lash up a hammock or clothes line is easy business.

And now, with all kidding aside, one of the very best parts of this camp ground -- There -- are -- absolutely -- no -- bugs. No mosquitoes, no flies, no gnats, no black flies, no deer flies, & no horse flies. I find it hard to believe, but in two visits there, I experienced nary a single bug swat or bite.

Some of the campers stay up very late and drink mass quantities of alcohol by the roaring camp fire, but I suppose we can forgive them.

Hope to see y'all there, if I can make it.

I have gotton some pm's about going to niagara falls..
yes you can do this and what is nice about it is you pass from stony brook will get you in the niagara falls state park on the America side for free so you don't have to pay for parking and lots of good stuff to see and do on the America side ..and if you want to go over to canada you can just walk across brige "that is only about 100 yards from where we park our bikes" and rember if do this you will need a "passport" or "enhanced driver's license" and yes you can ride over also just rember parking on the cananda side will cost$$$ and there is really only one spot to park and will have to pay..

if any one has any question about this please just ask

Ed
