First the bad news, I road the Thunderbird and was disappointed. If I was in the market for a big cruiser, it would still be a Warrior. The T-Bird was very comfy but the brakes were meh and it's looks don't sing.

On the AMAZING side, I rode a street triple R with the arrow slip ons. Man, Pete's Cycle got a flat orange Street Triple R about 2 months after I bought my Tiger. If it had been there, that's what I'd be riding.

So light and so THIN. Man. Perfect riding position, dead natural. The thing absolutely sings with those Arrow pipes. I WANT ONE!

Seriously tempted to trade the Tiger, but I'd lose to much in the extras.

Also there were several bonnies, a thruxton and a scrambler with the arrow pipes. Those things sound SICK. I've got to say, that scrambler sounds better than my speedy with specialty spares.

Demo truck coming to Dover Delaware next weekend. I'll be there. I'm going to take your advice and ride the Street Triple R. Definitely want to ride the Rocket III Roadster too. And I ride the Tiger every time I go to a demo day.

I'm surprised at your reaction to the Tbird. I rode one last year and loved it.

the only thing i found unappealing about the Bird, was the seat. the seat was to wide, other than that i thought it was very similer to the America, same ergo's or real close and handles better than any other bike i have riden in its class, way better than my friends yami and even better than the honda 1300 so i guess its each to their own???

ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

The truck only had one rocket and it was a touring model. I'm guessing you'll have the same bikes in DE that we had here. There was no shortage of Thunderbirds. One with the 1700 kit.

I just really didn't like the brakes. Otherwise, a fine bike. I'm begining to realize that I like riding my Speedy, but I'm really not so much a cruiser guy. I went back and rode a Thruxton and enjoyed it as well. Nothing close to the street trip though.

Interesting on the brakes. I went out to bed in a T-bird's brakes and found them quite good. No lack of power and good feel on the front.

Demo's in Jacksonville/Orange Park (FL) from 4/27-5/1. They told me today that the entire line would be available for rides and there should be no lines and no waiting. But this is the same dealer who blamed my brake light problems on my Stebel horn.

Some day I'll get over that and trust them to work on my bike. Not yet though.
