 Uneven exhaust??

I've replaced the stock air filter with a K&N filter. I did cut out the top of the new filter. The previous owner removed the snorkel. Ever since I replaced the filter it seems that most of the exhaust is coming from the left side. Is this a problem? The bike seems to be running very well.
Thanks for any advise

Do you still have the stock exhaust pipes or are you running aftermarket pipes? If stock, you could probably turn out the pilot mixture screws a turn or two and see if that helps. Then synchronize the carbs as best as you can (see other threads on this topic). If you have TORs or an aftermarket pipe on the bike, you probably need to rejet (125 main and a shim under the stock needle perhaps). If its a fuel injected model, you might want to re-map. Hope that helps.

If you're noticing this whilst on the side stand, it's probably just gravity pulling the right hand exhaust through the crossover pipe... But seriously, that's a weird thing to notice.

The culprit could actually be gravity as your float may not be filling up on the right as much as the left carb. Put it on a motorcycle jack or center stand, and it may verify that I'm a dumb$h!t, but ya never know.

Since it seems to me that I don't understand most of the discussions around here, hmmm..., how do you cut out the top of the air filter, since it's installed the open side facing up??? Why do I ask and make myself look like and idiot once again? I guess cause I have to?
My bike was popping more from the right side but otherwise no feeling of uneven exhaust existed.

my exhaust is louder on the right side, but then again, I may have hearing damage

Hmmmm.....You might have something there Personally I think it has something to do with the earth's magnetic field combined with the pull of the sun. If you place the bike perpendicular to the poles, with the sun anywhere up in the morning, it will sound louder on the right hand side. With the sun up in the afternoon, it wil sound louder on the left side. Of course if is cloudy, it won't happen.
