Well, after a cold winter, I've finally got some pics of my 09 Speedy. Added some driving lights, lower deflectors, National Cycle screen and saddle bags. I really enjoy the saddle time on my 72 mile round trip work commute every day. Getting 48 MPG (US) is an added bonus (over the 17.5 in my Chevy Silverado 2500HD...)

Anyhoo... here's a few pics.....

Thanks. Oh, I forgot. I also swapped out the 18-tooth Counter-shaft sprocket with a 19-tooth. Ought to net me better highway MPGs. And I took a holesaw to the pipe baffles. Sounds pretty good now, but I'm thinking I need to contunue the Baffle-ectomy a little more. OR break down and spend the cheese on some aftermarket pipes. Yeah, I'd have to get a Power-commander to tune it, so it could get pretty expensive.

I see you did the same set up with the driving lights as you did to your previous 03 speedy(now mine) .
It looks pretty nice, Mike. Good luck with her and I know you'll take goooood care of her.

Chris '03 Speedy.

Thanks Chris. Yeah, I like to driving Light set-up. People definitely tend to notice me when those 55-watt Halogens are shining. I like it when folks know I'm there. That way there's less chance of someone telling a LEO "But officer, I didn't see him"......

I really like what you've done with your Speedmaster. VERY Cool.

Nice Bike! It looks like you mounted the lower deflectors upside down, you do that on purpose?

Yes I did. I don't have any 'mystical or rational' reason for doing so. I was looking at them when I took the pics yesterday and thought "Hey, They look like they are upside down....."

Probably end up changing them sometime......

Nice. I like the driving lights, that's a great look for a Speedy.

Looks good! Which brand of driving lights are you using if you don't me asking?

I Picked them up at Wally World in the Automotive section. I believe they were a whopping $14.00 for the set. Here's a piccy...

Inexpensive and chock full of 55-Watt Brightness

That is a deal alright! I like the rectangular look as you have them installed. Thanks.

It's the National Cycle Deflector Screen DX... Deflector Screen DX

I had one on my last Speedy and it works nicly IMO. Although, I have never liked the way it doesn't fit snug around the headlight. If I ever get the nerve, I'm going to round out the opening to fit the headlight and give it a "Custom Fit" look.

Thanks for the info. That may just be the ticket I have been looking for. I like riding without a screen but need one sometimes. With all the debate about buffeting I do not want to throw down a bunch of money. Which hardware do you have standard or quick remove?

Well, not sure what my hardware is categorized as, but you just unscrew two knobs and the screen comes off. Pretty quick, I'd say...

I can't remember the Hardware Bag Number right now... and all my paperwork is at home.

I learned how to comprehend what I was reading over the last several hours and read your post again. It tells me which hardware you have accroding to the model you purchased. Thanks again for your help.
