Hi Folks. I've searched the forums, but couldn't find anything related to this.
I've had the AI removed from our '07 model, but how is this done with the EFI models? Or, is it even necessary to do with the EFI bikes?
I'd prefer for the pipes to remain 'silver' on the Speedmaster if possible.
Thanks, H.

It's done the same way from my understanding. Except, you've got to rely on the fuel injection to account for it gone, and adjust accordingly (automatically). No jetting needed of course.

On the EFI engines Secondary Air Injection removal improves nothing and almost certainly voids your two year warranty. A fine mod for carbed engines only. Over time your pipe covers may tan a bit near the cylinder head, but some magic juber cream will easily remove it. There are many valid mods for EFI engine improvement, but AI removal is not one. Take your time, RIDE, and read.

Thanks for the post. Yeah, I was thinking the same in just leaving it. I've read that Triumph uses the AI system to figure out the air/fuel ratio somehow.
