I couldn't believe how bad the hail was...it had just been a bit wet with a few hail stones, then all the rain and hail started blowing sideways. I saw a motorcycle up ahead and remembered the camera in my pocket. I couldn't find the rider ahead, and hope he was ok...maybe he pulled off and waited for it to pass while under the freeway. I was just blown away by the force of nature though, and was glad the hail wasn't any bigger and able to break the windshield. Pray the rider was ok, because that CAN'T be fun to ride in. See the video I recorded on my Nikon with the link to my photobucket...

I once rode in similar weather (not as heavy but bigger stones) on my old XS500. I did not like the way the stones kept landing on me in a rather tender area

Although last week I was glad I wasn't on my bike when a lorry shredded its tyre and some of it hit my van. BIG bang

I got caught briefly in a hail storm once. I was @ 5 miles from home and just as it started I remembered this place just up the road that sold carports, had one on display in front of the building. I pulled in under that awning just after the sky opened up. Marble size hail and wind gusting to 40-50 mph. If that hadnt been there I dont know what I would have done.
