Hi Folks. I've finally made up some lowers to go with the Clearview Summer Shield. MUCH thanks to Shutterbug for all his research and helping me along.

Memphis Shades M9898 lower fork mounts (for 2007+ Speedmaster)
3/16" Lexan that fits in the Memphis Shades grommets
14.5" tall, 4.5" wide. The mounts are midway on the Lexan. The shape was courtesy of my wife and her french curve sewing template thingy

I hand cut everything using a jigsaw with a wood/plastic combination blade. Painter's masking tape was used on both sides prior to cutting. Sanded the edges down using my orbital sander, and then treated with paint thinner on the edges.
Here's some pix (mounts, design template and mulberry Speedmaster from Shutterbug)

Shutterbug's template. I have a summer shield so no bend at the top was required.

My goal was to try and smooth out the airflow a bit. I never had any buffeting with the Clearview shield, but did get a lot of wind noise. This has certainly helped.
This isn't nirvana, but it's more than tolerable for a long ride at highway speeds. No head shake, no shaking from the shield or deflectors. I'm pretty happy, especially with a first attempt like this.
I am thinking that maybe a shape like an upside down 'L' might be better. I might experiment with that at some point, but for now I'm pleased.
HTH,
H.
