Bros,do the pingel petcocks seal any better now or do you have to make your own gasket? I'm thinking about getting one from Brent.

I got one at the begining of spring this year. I read that It would leak and to make my own gasket. Instead, I followed the enclosed instructions and it worked fine to this date it hasn't leaked. I waited longer than instructed for the sealant to evaporate it's gas and maybe that is why.

Leak or not, it's worth the difference.

Mine leaks, and I may need a new valve to stop it, but I'll never go back to the stock valve. (More details later.)

From what I've read,I think I'll use some sealall and some cork gasket material. With my luck, the stock gasket and green goo won't seal mine.I think the pingel will improve my running. It's getting hard to move the petcock lever now. Thanks for all the info,Happy holidays to all!!

I've posted the results of my installation today. I used sealall and cork gasket material and haven't had any leaks so far. Quit a difference on running!!

I don't get it? Why would a petcock make your bike run different? Either it's getting enough gas or it would cut out. I see no in-between. And my bike with a stock one never cuts out so i gotta think it's getting enough fuel. What am i missing here?

Dale, you are right. The Pingel doe not improve performance. It just makes it easier to open and close. It's butter smooth. I think the reserve amount is a bit larger. plus it's chrome.

If you saw your stock petcock out and next to the Pingle, there would be no explanation necessary. Not that the Pingle is that expensive of a mod, but the stock part IS that INEXPENSIVE of quality. I was shocked. It may work, but it's like industrial grade compared to something "as seen on TV" cheap.

maybe so, but till it craps out i'll pass on the pingel. Cheap as it may look i bet it'll last as long as i have the bike. If not i'll fix it, and if i can't then it's pingel time.

Like some of the stock items Triumph puts on their bikes, some are crap.My petcock was doing all kinds of tricks, like switching over to reserve until I did it acouple of times. The pingel is so smooth operational and improves the looks too.If it ain't broke,it soon will be.I really dig it!
