oldroadie Worn Saddle Joined: May 2007 Posts: 6,432 Likes: 1 Alabama USA	You'll just have to systematically check the chain of events: good grounds at both ends of the ground wire; a good solid clean connection at the main fuse post; around 14.5 VDC at the battery around 4000rpm to test the regulator; somewhere around 60VAC coming from the alternator. One element in the chain is duff and you'll have to find it by process of elimination. LED volt meter, that SOB has put me on the side of the road twice, I've wonder about a lot lately. And a leaky float blow needel value. Now for the carbirators 42 pilot and 130 mains & 2 turnes out Idel adjust and thunderbird needles with 1 shim. And with Unico air cleaner and short Harley sporter mufffler's. Now only a littel problem about 3/8 to 1/4 throttel think I'm going to take the shim out frist.Rudyr

OP majorruddell Adjunct Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 176	well trouble agein today! Checked my voltage with engein off 12.7 at Ideal 13.3 and 13.75 at 4500 R's. Now my America is a 03 and I'm reading that the frist one their stater didn't put out quit as much as the newer one's. So I'm thinking I'm pretty close. I'm going to order that new PCM from New America Speedmaster and put in 125 main jets. I' going to put a inline fuel filter. What size is the fuel line? The reason I'm getting the PCM is it's running just fine 20, 70 MPH and just die then can start right back up may be a min. or 15 min. befor it die's agein. Any guess?Rudyr
