I'd say it's a good looking bike and will undoubtedly be as reliable as an anvil. I agree the American market wont be it's strongest but a few will sell and a few will sit on the show room floor a couple or three years then sell dirt cheap, I'll be looking for 1 then. It'd never replace my America but it'll definitely replace the Honda 919 I sold last year when the little woman got sick. Till then I'll hafta make do with my XR 650 L for sport riding, you'd be amazed how capable a dual sport(even without a supermoto conversion)can be if properly set up. Really pisses the Joe Rocket types off when u get around em in the tight stuff on a "dirt bike".

Yup, it has two tires, an engine, gas tank, seat, exhaust pipe... I see a Honda in that pic, nothing else.

I still have a 1000 custom in a building at my brothers.
This is not a Triumph rip in any way.

I have been waiting on this bike and I personally believe it will be a big hit for Honda in the same way the Bonnie has been for Triumph and the Sport Classic series for Ducati. These bikes tug on the nostalgia strings and a lot more people used to ride UJMs than old Trumpets or Ducs. I personally want them to release the faired version. Man she's perty. I'd hate to give up my tiger, but this bike makes a good argument.

Thanks for posting the video clip. I like the bike, especially the classic retro nature of the 4 cylinder Hondas that changed the playing field. Nice looking and will probably fly. Still, for now, I'll stick with my America which I can't seem to ride enough.

Already customized in Japan before it's even on the market. I think in this form it looks very good and would have wide appeal, but what do I know? image from http://www.bikeexif.comQuote:

I have never been a big fan of Jap bikes in any form but I do kinda like it in the custom form and have ridden a couple of the old CB750fours and they were fun.

Yeah, I was surprised too when that showed up in my email. I read Honda is undecided about marketing the bike in the UK and USA... I assume that means Canada too.
I'm a fan already. It really is a nice bike!

Oooh... I like it even betterer in the red! I need a bigger garage, and much BIGGER bankroll. Not something that I would trade either the America or the T100 for, but another something to love... sure why not.

I like it in the same way, I like the classic look of the bonnies, scramblers, and thruxtons. My last bike was a 74 CB750, and it was a lot of fun.
I think people would go for it.

Guys, I like it but I've always been a big fan of the CB's.This has been rumored for sometime and I'll be surprised to not see this stateside. I think a lot of guys in my age demographic would be very interested. Looks like 1982, I bet you could ride it for 200,000 miles and do nothing but, gas, oil, tires, brakes and chains. Say what you will but Honda builds very reliable machines.

I'd ride that. I like simple, attractive bikes. Impressive as a blinged out chopper or a race replica might be, I'd rather have something that's basic, fun to ride, and doesn't cost a fortune.

My understanding is that this bike will only be for the Jap market. So unless you import one you won't get to ride one

Honda's a smart company. It will be sold in Japan first, but if they see a market potential in Europe or The U.S. they will sell it there also.

Well Bill, yep, I suppose "Honda's a smart company" alright, however I gotta say I sure don't see too many of those new DN-01s out there on the road, dude!
(okay, so maybe that automatic transmission cruiser/scooter thingy "might be" the exception to your rule here, huh?!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
