Hi,
I am riding down from West Yorkshire on Friday and wondered if any one minds if I link up at Woodall Services at 13.30. Never actually met another America rider.

You are very welcome Steve mate. Will PM you my mobile number so you can give me a call if you need.

Should be a few T'Birds, America's and a Tiger riding down with us from the Republic of Yorkshire.

BTW I might be a bit late as I am working in the morining (4am start FFS) but will be there ASAP.

Ivan

Fingers crossed Ray - grim weather today mate

Since I have invested heavily in my accommodation (£6.48 from B&Q) I have taken an unhealthy interest in all things weather related.

So the forecast tells us that it is gonna be fr!ggin' freezing on Friday/Saturday night and we're gonna get wet on Sunday morning travelling home.

Here is the offical commentary:

Friday to Sunday
Friday, chilly and windy with sunshine and scattered showers. Saturday, chilly at first with early sunshine but tending to cloud over during the day. Sunday, cloudy with rain at times.

Saturday
Day weather Sunny Intervals

15°C (59°F) Max. Day West North Westerly 5mph (8km/h)

Saturday
Night weather White Cloud
6°C (43°F) Min. Night

Will be taking the Bushmills to keep me warm.

Ride safe everyone

Forgot Aberdeen rarely sees tempretures above freezing. I remember getting frostbite in Ullapool.

Ride safe Colin

OK as a late comer to this party...

Been to the dealer today to pay cash for my tickets.... and he had LOADS of tickets for the factory tours for the Sat. Now as I'm not getting there till mid/late morning, Sat is no good for me. However, I know some of you lot are wanting to go, and then leave early-ish Sunday morning. So I have a couple, and if anyone has a Sunday ticket they don't want and want to swap for a Sunday one...
Or if you don't have one at all...
I have 3.
They are for Sat PM.

I do have a plan....as it's a ticket per vehicle, I could ride to Hinckley, park up and jump on the back of someone else to get to the factory... just I hate being pillion.

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

No problem with the Sunday ticket Gina, Ivan's come good with a Saturday pass for me, so your welcome to my Sunday one.

Yeah ok Ivan Ullapool was bl**dy cold, who's idea was that anyway? I'll go again next year though if I'm onshore. (I'll have forgotten how cold it was by then)

Wanted to make this trip, but the New York to London ferry service has been suspended. Hope y'all have a great time!

Think they'll do this again on the 21st Anniversary?

Thoroughly enjoyable weekend, great to meet so many folk from this forum.
Well worth the 961 mile round trip, even though it rained continuously for 470 miles of the return journey on Sunday.
If anyone is looking for a rain suit I can highly recommend the Alpinestar El nino, it kept me dry all the way to Aberdeen.

Once again it was a real pleasure to meet up with you folks again .

Some things never change - it rains, we get pretty well boozed up and Steve Viking comes out with the line "theres a pub just down the road here!"

The downside was the thieving monkey who nicked money out of Pauls tent and the theiving monkeys charging £3.20 a pint in the beer tents .

But I had a great time anyhow - I had a go at fire breathing, chanced my arm at being a music critic/ heckler and saw some great bikes.

Once again it's not the event itself but the people there who make it all worthwhile .

Would you let these people in your factory?

A UK bike rally isn't the same without people in waterproofs and holding beer.

The sad thing is Ivan that picture was taken only two minutes after you arrived at Mallory.
