I just came back from a 30 mile ride with only 1400 total miles on my 2008 Bonneville. Rear brake sounds to be rubbing sounds like disc is abasive with brake pad. Any advice or recommendation.

Yeah, you'll be lucky to get 5k out of the rear pads.

I got almost 15,000 km out of my first set of rears, and still on the same front set, if your rear calipor is sticking that'll make them wear quicker,

Checked the rear pads before getting her back on the road last week and at 17,000km there was nothing to be alarmed about. Good to go for the season I reckon.

i decided to change my pads this weekend, what a disaster ,front where shot and needed it but rear were not to bad but i bought the pads so i thought gonna change em also decided i gonna replace all the fluid while i am at it, big mistake fronts done piece of cake but rear nightmare, i had to change the rear brake light switch as well so drained all fluid changed switch and pads no problem but then came the job of bleeding them nightmare cannot get air out of system. i was told to try a syringe to force it but loads of air in there still, only had a tiny suringe so in short i now have no rear brake

There's someone who would like to meet you. His name is Period. He doesn't have a last name, kinda like the-artist-currently-and-formerly-known-as-Prince, or Sting. He looks like this: "." People often utilize him to separate different statements for ease of reading.

Lardie, If you can elevate the rear caliper above the master cylinder it will really help bleeding out the air. Likewise, a helper to pump while you manage the bleeder valve can really speed up the process.

Bleeding the rear brake is exactly why I still have a speigler rear brake line in package 3 years after putting the front one on. I need to do it when I have 4 hours to kill

Get speed bleeders. The best way to change fluid, which I do every time I change pads, is to just keep the reservoir full and pump the fluid through until it's all new. SPEED BLEEDERS make it easy.

I may have to get a set
Yep, that's a very cost effective solution to the two person bleed-off.
