Ok, not my bike, but my bike was 100% stock when I got it so it looked like this.  1 year and a whole lot of mods later I have this parked in my garage.  Mods from front to back include a big 130/90-18 front tire. Forkes lowered 2". Split brake lines at the master cylinder so I could remove the front fender. Turn signals removed (God bless Arizona). Custom made brackets to keep the lines away from the tire. Heat wrapped headers with 19" Emgo turn out mufflers. Removal of the tin cans and replaced the lowers with gaiters. Upside-down clubman bars. Hand made brass bar end weights (turned and grooved by me). satin blacked dash. Satin on gloss-black tank paint job with stock silver striping. Satin black "cheese graters". Custom upholstered cut down gun-fighter seat. Upholstered by Pirate Upholstry with a "Ben Sherman" shield appliqued in for my hooligan friends. Hand made brass seat mount. Hand made brass seat and pillion screws (turned, knurled and threaded). Drilled out air box with Kawi vacuum springs and Thruxton needles. Hand made brass license plate bracket with hand turned brass m4 mounting screws. 11.5" shocks, hand made brass rear peg mounts,and cut to fit sprocket cover. It was a labor of love all the way! Hope you all enjoy!  Weird angle, but the design is straight. It just looks odd in the pic.

Love it mate  Like the fatty up front (straight fit?) My sprocket cover was cut to the same angle but its still waiting to go on so wasnt sure how it would look but if its like yours it will be great. Only one thing that needs to go, IMHO, the speedo. Cheers Chris

yeah love the paint and the chunky look up front. Cant say I agree with the removal of the upper shrouds. Kinda goes against that fat front end look.
I gotta rewrap my headers...haha I cant believe mine where that black a long time ago.

How about some closeup pictures of the things you made, for example, the bar end weights, peg brackets and the brackets for the brakelines?
Looks good. Like the paint with the contrast between gloss and matte finish.

Thanks guys! I had to get rid of the top fork covers because I got a good dent in one and it looked awfull, since then I've gotten used to the skinny littly forks and kind of like the stripped down aspect. It's a matter of asthetics I guess. The front tire went straight on with no problems what so ever. I'll post some shots of the hand made parts this evening when I get a chance to take some pics. hey bike looks great. i am also in az in the glendale area what kinda of jets do you have in it? and are those just straight pipes or is there any kind of baffles. have you dynoed it at all to see what you getting out of it.

as for those skinny looking fork legs what about a lace up leather shroud? would give it a beefer look and besides i'd like to do it to mine  would like to see it another bike befor i decide

They're not straight open pipes. They have a mechanical baffle in them that helps hold on to the bottom end and midrange you loose with open pipes. No dyno, but the seat of my pants says it's QUITE a bit stronger than stock. As far as jets, I'm running 130 mains, stock 42 pilots, Thruxton needles with no shim, and the Kawasaki vacuum springs make a very noticeable difference off the line. A/F mix screws are set at 3.75 turns now so I'm going to install 45 pilots and get my A/F screws back closer to the stock setting. Sorry about the lack of new pics but the weather's been shite the past few days

I was actualy thinking about going with some black hockey tape on the forks to match the header wrap . I'll try it and put up some pics. I'm not too sure about the lace up leather guards though. Just not for me.

Yeah I always wanted to try using hockey tape for my cables so they'd look wrapped like the headers. Never got around to experimenting with it though.

I just took a bunch of pics of the hand made bits. This is the seat mount with a back-plate to hide the staples on the seat and a hand turned brass thumb screw for mounting the seat and the pillion.  This is the one of the brackets I made to run the split front brake lines.  License plate bracket.  Back view of the license plate bracket and rear pillion thumb screw.  Passenger peg mounts.  And bar end weights. They have 7/8' heater hose over a 1" long insert that I have a washer and nut compressing the heater hose to hold them in place.  Here's that shot from the back.  And I pulled the speedo. Looks much better IMHO.  As far as the clubmans. I love them. They are perfect for my height (6'3") and super comfortable. I found them on ebay.

thats pretty sweet, you mentioned kawi carb slide spring, what are they out of? has anyone tried drilling the airbleed holes in the base of the slides? I know drilling them makes a huge difference in throttle response on most bikes. Most honda's responed well to oversizing them to 5/64's,whil emost yamahas seem to like 3/32's If anyone heres tried it I'd be interested to know what size seems to work best for triumph.

Awesome job you did on this bike. It looks lowdown and ready to rumble. Nice to see someone making parts they need on the cheap instead of forking over hard earned cash on overpriced catalog items. Isn't it a blast figuring out what you need & then being able to make it? I only started maybe a couple of months ago & I swear, it's a drug. +1 on the speedo - there's a link here somewhere in one of Friar's posts for a nice small one with the correct ratio for our bikes.
I too run the Emgo turnouts. Love the sound & though no dyno, I gotta agree, there's more get up & go there.

Slightly off topic, but those are great pictures. The brass highlights on the bike against the gold stars in the window. Great composure... nicely done. Not only can you work with bikes but you got an eye for photography too IMO.

Hey, great job. I'm wanting the same front end look for my America. did you use standard Bonneville gators, once the cans were removed? I'm assuming you had to change wheels to fit the larger tire on the front end as well, right??

The clubmans run the same cables, you just have to route the throttle cables on the opposite side of the frame so they don't get too tight. And the front rim is stock, although I wouldn't go bigger than the 130/90-18 that's on it now. Even that is pushing it a little bit. Just remember to drop the front end to make up for the taller tire. Thanks again guys, for all the kind words. BTW I got my gaiters here TBA/Speetdmaster Gaiters

Hey Dude... One more question for you. Do you like the sound of the Emgo pipes? I'm currently running D&D on my 05 America. They look identical to the stock pipes. I like the look of the Emgo and am considering changing. I really like the sound of the D&D pipes. Also, is there a left/right, or does the Emgo mounting bracket swing for mounting to the other side? Also, does the Emgo fit the America tubes?
