IKON vs Progressive Suspension. There is quite a price difference between the two anyone had any experience with the different ride. I am 170 wife about 140 (its ok she doesn't read this stuff) Found lots about the rear shocks on the web site but nothing about the front. Ready to order as the season looks like it is starting sooner up here in the not so frozen north.

i used progressives, i am 180 and the girl is around 130. they worked amazing and could not be easier to install. just put them in and use the stock spacers. not sure how the ikon's are but i would not hesitate to use the progressibes again

I used Progressives so I can't compare the two. I will say that the Progressive front springs are single most cost effective mod you can do and it only takes 20~30 minutes.

Well, I was working a used bike so I siphoned out the fork oil and replaced it, too, so I'd have a maintenance baseline. That took a few minutes more.
Cover the tank with a thick blanket, pull the handlebars, loosen the upper pinch bolts (only) and unscrew the caps. Careful, they're under a bit of preload and can jump away from you so use both hands. Then extract the preload tube, the washer and the spring. When you put the new springs in just put them both in the same way regarding the tight coils, up or down the same. Easy. Put it back together, I think the pinch bolts get 20 ft/lbs. and ride a new bike.

This comes as great news as I have a pair being shipped to me as we speak.
Live to love, love to live.

Where are you picking the fork springs up from and are you using the lowered version?

From the local Triumph dealer about the same price not duties shipping etc. Not lowering I can touch the ground quite comfortably.

Ikon vs. Progressive. From what I understand they are basically the same thing. Ikon is Australian and Progressive is US. I used Ikon Progressive fork springs in mine from here http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/ikon_fork_springs.html and I'm very happy with them. I fully removed the forks and put in a heavier 20w fork oil, but I'm bigger than a lot of the guys on here: I'm 250 and the old lady is 140.
