I'm committed to a work-related Poker Run on the 15th in NOVA. But, I should be done that by 1 PM or so, could be in Frederick by 2 PM-ish? I'll call Pete before leaving NOVA to see how long you guys are hanging. I'd love to just do the Frederick thing, but can't get out of this.

I think I should make this one. I'll go out rt.17 from fredericksburg and then take rt. 15 up to frederick. or maybe just snake my way up through side roads when i get a better look at a map and by pass all the congestion. that should make for an all day ride.

Hey, just talked to snekepte and I'm going to try and make this and my NOVA event. I'll be in NOVA to start the event and head out in time to hit Frederick by Noon. If anyone is coming via VA and wants to take along, I can come up with a meeting spot & time. I'll give my cell number to anyone interstested in that route/plan.

Well it was nice seeing some of the guy’s I haven’t seen or ridden with in a while (Pete, Don & Al). It was also nice meeting with some of the other members who I hadn’t met before. My thanks to John for putting it together and making the pins. It felt good to be on the scooter again in my first lengthy ride after going down last year.

I was there and we had a great time.The food was terrific,the beer was very tasty and the conversation salty.It was good meeting everyone and thank you John for putting it together.

It was definitely fun to reconnect with some of the older group members and to meet new folks as well. John stuck with this amd made it happen, nice work. Since you live in Maryland, hopefully we won't be strangers. John even made the effort to create a neat event pin. I have an extra one to put on the garage tool box. (will post a pix of the pin later). With my combined trip to Northern Virginia, I put on just about 300 miles yesterday. Thats a great way to get my bike-season sea legs. A few folks from the group rode even further! A few of us stopped at the nearby Triumph dealer (Fredericktown) just as they were getting ready to close. We chatted with the owner, Richard for a bit. He had a packed show room with just about everything but a R3T. He even had one of the new "touring" t-birds which looked very tempting. Business is only so-so per Richard, one of our group bought a t-shirt...... Here's a shot of the bikes and group.

Thanks for running the event and the pin John. It was good to put faces to some of the avatars. I left 9am and returned 7pm a long day and I was real tuckered out. I left with Don cuz it looked like he knew how to get out of there. I was true to the go your own way on the pin, cuz what nut would ride four hours to a brewery and order a glass of wine. I think I won the dirty bike award if there was one. shamefull. thanks to all!!!!!

I think we're all a little kooky. You should have seen the look on the groups face when I showed up late and ordered a Portobello mushroom sandwich. Hey, the menu said "Mushroom Cap BURGER" for gods sake! I even ordered it medium, which in hindsight, drew an odd look from our cute server.
Here's another group shot. I forgot to mention, I showed up before Walter & Fred and at that point, there was just a line of black bikes. Glad I could add a little color to the event. Of course, everyone claimed since I was late, that the black ones were faster. I say they just leave earlier....
