I still have my original Lazertech on the front at about 24,000 miles now. It's getting thin now but not to the wear bars yet.

Well I am on my 3rd rear tire, 1 Metz and 2 IRC Wild Flare. Funny thing is I am the same with my tire pressure as I am with my chain oil, I might check the tires once a year unless they look or feels soft.

have agree with Ian 24000 on the front and rear stock tyre's they weren't down to the wear blocks when the front slipped on a round about and almost brought the bike down, that was enough for me changed them out for a set of IRC Wild Flare's and got 15000 outta them

When I'm getting tires fitted, I find great amusement in looking over the piles of dead tire carcasses. The number of tires with no tread, the ones with fuzzy little fibers growing out of where there was once rubber, the cracked sidewalls that look like the skin of an ancient mummy, and those white/grayish patterns of fiber that look like a worn undershirt. There are tons of examples of tires rolled well beyond there usable life. As I look at that pile, I wonder who had the mind boggling disconcern for their own life and the lives of others. And then I realize that the Darwinian Principle isn't infalable - it doesn't cull out all the idiots. I sometimes think that, if there is poetic justice, one day life won't be just a box of chocolates for these penny/mile pinching morons. That's all I got to say about that, Lt. Dan.

A set? I couldn't find a 170/80-15 rear. And for the front did you get a 110/80 or a 100/90?

Well heres an update Tires Unlimted sent me the wrong front tire , they sent me the Avon Roadrider instead and was charged for the Conti which means I saved 13 bucks so instead of sending it back I had Victory give me the matching rear and had them mount both . I was hoping to give those Conts a GO "sorry couldnt help it"
