You know it! I had already taken my picture of this event. I love the different pictures. This is a great thread. Anyone remember when Robert used to post his pictures with captions? I always say we need more time to socialize at these rallies.

It was uncle Fill who thought we said "take 285" instead of "go right to 85". Somewhere I got a pic of the straggler showing up late at the Triumph building.... Yeah me.... G

Dang it all!!! I hate when I post an answer and don't realize there was a second page to the thread. I was thinking I was so smart and stuff and now I look like a blooming idiot.... oh well, story of my life....

Quote: I'd love to know the story behind this first pic... I have no garage, but I do have a fairly warm (57F), full, dry (dry = that's a blessing) cellar & a backhoe. Call it the Winter tinkerin' man cave if you like. We get a few feet of snow here each year, roads covered in salt, and as cold as twenty below F, and so down the hole she goes until the Easter Bunny does his resurrection dance. No biggie. Little things like swinging an eight thousand dollar toy offen a rope don't bother me too much. Not much difference between a motorcycle or a truck engine or tranny. Yank em' up, then let 'em down. (Hopefully) The first time I put her in the cellar, I almost dropped her on Uncle Charley when I bumped the down lever a might too abruptly. He didn't say much about almost getting his leg crushed, but I have a feeling his heart rate jumped up a little bit, maybe? When my wife & I built our limestone block wall, I klonked her upside the head with the backhoe bucket. {Can't remember now - was that on purpose, or an accident? Did I say that out loud? } It usually takes an hour or so to get my backhoe groove on if I don't use it for a few months. For that first hour, its a really really good idea to stand back. The first time I dropped Miss November "way down in the hole," 5 or 6 spectators showed up to "help." {Ya - right - help - they wanted to see the trail of tears from the backhoe seat to the crash site / motorcycle parts yard sale. }

Look at those fuel prices! I almost forgot gas went down that much last year. Sure was a big change from the prior year.
