I was reminded on another site that I've been remiss in updating my web with some of the new items I've got in these last several weeks.

They include among other things, front fork springs from Ikon.

just curious, what makes them twice as much as progressive, also do you know how they compare to the pregressives?

Frank,

Not a clue. One being from the US and the other from Australia might have something to do with it. One thing Ikon offers that Progressive doesn't is two (2) options on spring rates combinations (softer for highway comfort and stiffer for sport riding).
