The front wheel is a 21x4" custom from built by MC tire works, a motorcycle wheel business, in Lomita, Ca. 'Spokes' drilled the raw wheel, chromed it and laced the stainless spokes to my hub. The tire is a Metzeler ME880 120/70-21 inch tire. The front turn signals, as well as the rear, are Kuryakyn halogen silver bullets. The BC light mounts attach to under the triple tree. I had to modify the light mounting whole because the Kuryakyns mounting bolt was a little too big.

Looks really good. Are you using the rear turn signals as the brake light?

That's looking really nice. I love the 21" wheel with no fender. Looks cool as all get out. And you don't even have to worry too much about rain bein' in Cali.
The signals look fantastic. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna be seriously thinking of buying me some of those.
'07 Triumph America - 153 mains, 45 pilots, airbox gone, '71 650 chop, '04 America powertrain for chop being built now.

I paid $575 and that included the tire. The wheel did come from Buchanan. I got a break on the labor. I chromed the disk and brake calipers on my dime. And polished the hub myself.

When did you add the t-bars? I don't recall seeing those when I visited in '07. Do you like them? They look kinda tallish. And in keeping with making mine a blacked-out clone of yours, I think I'm going to do the same seat. You need to add something like this next... Oh, and nevermind on the t-bars. I was smoking crack or something... Jeez, that headlight is HUGE...

Hi John..the bars do look taller now that the speedo is gone. But they sit perfect. They have a 6" rise and any shorter would strain my shoulders AND risk hitting the tank when turning. I have been contemplating a new headlight. I don't want to go HD on this thing. I have tried to retain the Triumph bobbed look. The headlight gives it that Triumph-ish look.

Wasnt the bike kinda tipped back before with that larger front wheel? And thats what made you lower the front down?
Im pretty sure I remember thinking that the tire was cool but it needed to be lowered to level it out. Do you got the old pic?

Those are Baron's drag bars. They are a direct bolt on. I had to modify the holes for the internal wiring down at the triple tree and both sides for the grips. Basically just elongating them. I can get the part# if you want.

It took some time to level out the bike because I also added the 200 Dunlop in the rear. The front of the bike only sat 1 inch taller in the front before I cut down the spacer just last week. It wasn't that noticable but it bugged me. The progressive front fork springs make up for the dampening and the shortened spacer. The bike is smooth..not stock smooth..but suprisingly smooth since the suspension sits 2" lower than stock. Now the spring rate is almost exact from front to rear.

Yep! Me too, Scott! And I've always liked that Doug put a slightly wider than normal 21-incher up front there, too!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I like that too. I would love to do a 21" tire up front but it's not in the cards this year.

Yep Bubs. And yes..they scrape when I turn hard AND hit a big dip(not a dummy..but a deviation in the road). Can't see the marks as they are on the inside facing the center line of the bike. Ask Dwight..I think he tattoo'd them once or twice! Great pipes for the Triumph though. Now if I could just figure out how to mount and fabricate this set of Scrambler pipes I have sitting around.....next step in the continuing evolving money pit....

I like it. Have you thought about adding 8 inches up and 4 or 5 inches out on the back bone and swapping out to maybe 10" or 12" over front forks for that chopper look? Just a thought. Not all individuals are into that! But with old the old school choppers out there, this would blow everyone away if done right.

I have thought about that...but not to the extent you described. The bike gets a lot of looks now. That would require taking the bike off the road for a while. I don't have the time for that now.. I am building a big block 69 Dart and its taking a lot of time now. Its my other hobby.
